Job Description

As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will support the loan origination process by organizing borrower documentation, preparing pre-approvals, running qualification scenarios, and ensuring files are complete and ready—helping loan officers move applications forward accurately and efficiently.

The Qualifications We Seek
Education

  • High school diploma (minimum)
  • College degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently

Nice to Have

  • Portuguese language proficiency

Your Daily Tasks
Document Management

  • Receive borrower documents, organize and relabel files, and ensure completeness

Data Entry

  • Input borrower and financial information into the loan origination system (LOS)

Credit Review

  • Pull and review credit reports as part of the pre-approval process

Follow-Up

  • Request and track missing or incomplete borrower documents

Scenario Analysis

  • Run loan qualification scenarios to support loan officer review

Pre-Approval Letters

  • Prepare and issue pre-approval letters once requirements are met

Collaboration

  • Work closely with loan officers to provide timely updates
  • Ensure files are ready for full application and processing
